Grimsby Harriers Athletics Club are a grass roots local club serving North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding area. The club concentrates on Track and Field Athletics during the summer for ages 7 and upwards. While in the winter we have a mixture of cross country training and sportshall athletics.

Our Training days Monday and Wednesdays at King George V Stadium. Please arrive at 5.45pm and training starts at 6pm. Training will not take place on a Bank Holiday or over the Christmas period. Training may be cancelled during severe weather conditions.

What makes us different

We are a family orientated athletic club. Our aim is to support, encourage and promote athletics  to any willing participants, All officials and coaches  in the club are willing volunteers. Athletics is great for everyone in the family. You may be an athlete hitting the track for a 100m or a road runner preparing for a 10k or a field athlete throwing a shot, Javelin or Hammer. Our coaches will work with all age ranges to support athletes improve

The club also has very important positions for anyone not wanting to compete to support the club. The club will support anyone wishing to join the coaching team in at the club, and prior knowledge is required. Through mentoring and working through the England athletics coaching pathways we can support anyone to become a fully qualified athletics coach.

The club also all needs people of any age and ability to support athletes at competitions. Competition officials such as timekeepers, track Judges and field judges are an essential part of any athletic team and earn the teams valuable points. Through Humberside athletes association  support and guidance on gaining the required knowledge is freely given and can be as simple as raking a sand pit at the long jump, but without the officials athletes can not complete.
